An amusing chapter in the history of motorcycles: the Harley-Davidson FXDX model has evolved from a once mildly ridiculed tourer to a coveted fashion object - thanks to the US TV drama 'Sons of Anarchy'. The bad guys there prefer to ride Dyna Super Glide Sport, FXDX for short - but they can only dream of the Ehinger version
As tidy and well-behaved as the gray machine stands here in front of the patient ivy, what's inside it is infernal: a tuned Screamin' Eagle 120R Dragrace engine that isn't even street legal in the USA. Too bad for the sons of anarchy. Good for Ehinger: Ehinger Kraftrad was able to convince the German TÜV with the right arguments and the correct paperwork.
Ehinger Kraftrad had received the engine as a prize for winning the AMD European Championship of Custom Bike Building twice. With around 140 hp instead of the standard 68 hp, it is reassuring that the FXDX is by no means technically anarchistic in design. After all, it causes enough chaos on the road.
